At Doable, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how Doable Inc. ("Doable", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.


1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the Platform, and information from third-party sources.

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address, password, phone number, and profile photo.
  • Identity verification: government-issued ID, date of birth, and other verification data when you opt into verified status.
  • Payment information: bank account details, debit/credit card numbers, and billing address. Payment data is processed by our third-party payment providers and is not stored directly on our servers.
  • Task content: task titles, descriptions, photos, location, budget, and any other information you include when posting or accepting a task.
  • Communications: messages sent through the Platform's messaging system, support requests, reviews, and ratings you submit.
  • Profile information: skills, work history, bio, and any other information you add to your Helper or Client profile.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:

  • Device data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, search queries, clicks, time spent on the Platform, and referring URLs.
  • Location data: approximate location based on IP address, and precise GPS location if you grant permission in the mobile app.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Social login providers: if you sign in with Google, Apple, or another third-party service, we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) from that provider.
  • Background check providers: if you initiate a background check, we receive the results from our authorized third-party provider.
  • Payment processors: we receive transaction confirmations and payout statuses from our payment partners.
  • Identity verification services: we receive verification status and risk scores from third-party identity services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

2.1 Providing the Platform

  • Creating and managing your account.
  • Facilitating matches between Clients and Helpers.
  • Processing payments and payouts.
  • Displaying your profile and task listings to other users.
  • Sending transactional communications (booking confirmations, payment receipts, task reminders).

2.2 Safety and Trust

  • Verifying user identities and screening for fraud.
  • Investigating reports of policy violations, disputes, or suspicious activity.
  • Enforcing our Terms of Service and other platform policies.
  • Protecting the rights, property, and safety of Doable, our users, and the public.

2.3 Improving the Platform

  • Analyzing usage trends to understand how our features are used.
  • Conducting internal research and development.
  • Testing new features and improvements.
  • Diagnosing technical problems and bugs.

2.4 Marketing and Communications

  • Sending you promotional emails and in-app notifications about new features, offers, or platform updates (you may opt out at any time).
  • Personalizing your experience, including showing relevant tasks and Helpers based on your history.
  • Running targeted advertising on third-party platforms (see Section 5).

2.5 Legal and Compliance

  • Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
  • Responding to lawful requests from government authorities.
  • Exercising or defending legal claims.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following circumstances:

3.1 With Other Users

  • Clients can see a Helper's public profile, ratings, reviews, and general location.
  • Helpers can see a Client's name, task details, and general location.
  • Both parties can see each other's full name, photo, and exact task location once a booking is confirmed.

3.2 With Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate the Platform, including:

  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe)
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS)
  • Identity and background check providers
  • Analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Customer support tools
  • Email and push notification services

These providers are contractually required to use your information only for the services they perform for us and to protect it accordingly.

3.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if we believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation or valid legal process (subpoenas, court orders).
  • Protect the safety of any person.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activity.
  • Protect the rights and property of Doable.

3.4 Business Transfers

If Doable is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3.5 With Your Consent

We may share your information with other third parties when you explicitly consent to such sharing.


4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

  • Account data: retained for the lifetime of your account and up to 3 years after account deletion for legal, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution purposes.
  • Transaction records: retained for 7 years to comply with tax and financial regulations.
  • Communications: messages and support tickets are retained for 2 years after the conversation closes.
  • Deleted content: when you delete content (profile photos, task descriptions), it is removed from public view within 30 days but may persist in backups for up to 90 days.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7 for your rights).


5. Advertising and Analytics

5.1 Targeted Advertising

We may partner with third-party ad networks (such as Google Ads or Meta Ads) to show you relevant ads on other platforms. These partners may use cookies and device identifiers to deliver ads based on your activity on and off the Platform. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through your device settings or industry opt-out tools such as:

We use analytics tools to understand how our Platform is used. These tools collect information such as pages visited, time spent, and interactions. This data is aggregated and used to improve the Platform.


6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

  • Remember your preferences and settings.
  • Analyze Platform usage and performance.
  • Deliver personalized content and advertisements.

You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information. You can update most information directly in your account settings.

7.3 Deletion

You have the right to request that we delete your personal information. We will comply unless we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.

7.4 Restriction and Objection

You may request that we restrict the processing of your data or object to certain uses, including direct marketing.

7.5 Withdraw Consent

Where we process your data based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

7.6 Opt Out of Sale / Sharing (CCPA)

California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As stated, we do not sell personal information, but you may exercise this right by contacting us.

7.7 How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@Doable.com or through our Contact Support page. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.


8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@Doable.com.


9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption in transit: all data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
  • Encryption at rest: sensitive data stored in our databases is encrypted.
  • Access controls: internal access to personal data is restricted on a need-to-know basis.
  • Security audits: we conduct regular security reviews and penetration testing.

Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. If a data breach occurs that affects your rights or freedoms, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.


10. International Data Transfers

Doable is based in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases for transfers:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
  • Your explicit consent where applicable.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Doable Platform. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
  • Post a prominent notice on the Platform, or
  • Send you an email notification if the changes significantly affect your rights.

Your continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
